Trim excess fat off the brisket point. If you bought a packer cut, separate the point section from the flat. We'll be using the point of the brisket for this recipe.
Preheat the smoker to 250°F and add your favorite wood chips or pellets.
Generously season the brisket with your favorite BBQ rub. Make sure you cover with rub on all sides.
Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for 4-5 hours or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Remove the brisket from the smoker and slice into 2 inch cubes. Place the cubes in an aluminum foil and pour in the beef broth. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
Place back the pan in the smoker and let it cook for additional 2 hours.
Remove the pan from the smoker and add in 1 cup of your favorite sweet BBQ sauce. Place back in the smoker and let it smoke for another 1 hour or until the BBQ sauce has caramelized.
