Instructions
Preparing the Potatoes
Start by preheating your Masterbuilt smoker to 225°F (107°C). This gives it enough time to get all smoky and ready for action.
While your smoker is heating up, wash those potatoes well under cold water. We want to get rid of any dirt or grime on 'em.
Once they're clean, take your trusty knife and cut those potatoes into bite-sized chunks. Keeping them uniform in size ensures even cooking.
Seasoning the Spuds
Now, it's time to give your potato chunks some love. In a mixing bowl, drizzle the olive oil over them, making sure they're all nicely coated.
Next, sprinkle on the garlic powder, dried rosemary, paprika (if you're in the mood for some heat), and don't forget a generous pinch of salt and a good twist of black pepper.
Use your hands or a spoon to toss those potatoes around until every piece is coated with the flavorful mix. Get 'em all lubed up and ready for the smoker!
Smoking the Potatoes
Lay out a large sheet of aluminum foil. Place your seasoned potato chunks in the center. Wrap them up securely like you're wrapping a smoky present.
Place your foil-wrapped potato packets on the racks of your preheated Masterbuilt smoker. Close the door, and let the magic happen!
Smoke those potatoes for about an hour, or until they're tender and have absorbed all that smoky goodness. You can't rush perfection, so be patient!
Serving Up the Smoky Goodness
Once your potatoes are smoky and delicious, carefully unwrap the foil packets. The aroma alone will make your mouth water!
Plate up your smoky potatoes and garnish them with some fresh herbs or a sprinkle of cheese if you're feeling fancy. You can even drizzle a little extra olive oil for that extra bit of richness.
